Russ needs hand lotion and bought himself Lubriderm.
The second ingredient is mineral oil (made from crude oil) not to be taken internally.
BUT everything we put on our skin effects what is benieth our skin.
Crude oil - let's think about that. Crude oil is formed when organic living things die and are kept under pressure long enough to be as dead as it gets. Products made from this dead stuff are chemicals that are with very few exceptions toxic to things that are living.
When we coat ourselves (lotions, soaps) or our environment (pesticides, herbacides, synthetic fertilizers) with the byproducts of "the deadest stuff" we cause the things that are living and thriving to have to overcome a pull towards being dead. This shows up as struggle that is disease.
Today I will find Russ some hand lotion that is healthful and full of nutrients that will nourish his skin. This product will not be toxic in any way.
I will go with Fillus. Our first stop, the Grower's Market where we can purchase pastured meats and eggs from local farmers. This will be fun, contribute to our community and nourish our bodies.
Next we will go to Gooseberries (sort of a natural foods big groceries store) for organic corn tortillas and finally the Farmer's Market for organic spices, greens and fruit.
It will be a nice sharing in an activity that feels good. I am so blessed.
